Obituary
Beverly A. (Spillman) Rossing, 82, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
The service honoring Beverly’s life will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Allen Henderson officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The visitation is one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
Beverly is survived by her children, Doug (Julie) Spillman, Fort Dodge; Robert Spillman, Fort Dodge; Sandy (Lonnie) Johnson, Lehigh; and Gary (Cheryl) Spillman, Hastings, MN; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her long time companion Evan (Bill) Kuker. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
Beverly Ann Albright, the daughter of Elmer and Gladys (Habenicht) Albright, was born March 12, 1929 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1947. In 1948, Beverly was united in marriage to Donald Spillman in Fort Dodge. Donald preceded Beverly in death. She was later married to Harold Rossing who died in 1980. Beverly was employed with Hormel Packing Company and after the plant closed she was employed with the Area Education Agency where she worked in the offices.
Beverly was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, taking trips and working in her garden.
