
Kevin Rogers joined the staff of Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services as a funeral director in July 1990.
A native of Marshalltown, Iowa, he has been married to his wife Michelle since 1987 and she is a teacher at St. Edmond Elementary School. They have three sons, Nathan (FDSH 2008 & Univ. of Iowa 2011), David (FDSH 2011) and Jared (FDSH 2013). Kevin is a member of First Presbyterian Church where he is a member of the Chancel Choir, an Elder and has served on several ministry teams. In the past he has assisted in set design and construction for the Fort Dodge Senior High theatre productions and has served on the Trinity Hospice Foundation Board. Kevin has been involved with the Oakland Cemetery walks where he has portrayed historic figures from Fort Dodge’s past and has also helped to train volunteers for hospice for many years. He is a reader for the IRIS program at Friendship Haven, is a member of the Fort Dodge Athletic Boosters Board and presently is a member of the Fort Dodge Community School District Board of Directors. Kevin has served as a sports official for basketball and football and has been an official for the IHSAA and IGHSAU since 1991.
Kevin received his professional training at Worsham College of Mortuary Science located near Chicago, graduating in 1987. He is committed to providing families with the highest quality service, made possible by working with a tremendous staff. Kevin is trained in eye enucleation for the Iowa Lions Eye Bank. He is also a member of numerous professional organizations such as NFDA and CANA.
