Services:  The memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at First United Methodist Church.
Visitation:  The memorial visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Gunderson Funeral Home.
Obituary:  Rolland Bernard “Rollie” Jacobs, 70, of Fort Dodge died on March 3, 2010. Rollie was born in Bradgate, IA on August 13, 1939, to Bernard and Gladys (Holt) Jacobs. He graduated from Bradgate High School and received his bachelor’s degree in industrial administration from Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, he was a member of several honoraries, including Cardinal Key, Order of Chessman, Lampos, and Scabbard and Blade . He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, earning the Army Commendation Medal. He then pursued his dream of becoming a tax attorney, attending Stanford School of Law. Upon graduation from Stanford in 1966, Rollie became an associate in the practice of tax law with Stark and Crumley. Rollie and his wife Mina made their home in Fort Dodge where he was active in numerous church and civic activities. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a past member of Sertoma. He also served the Fort Dodge Community School District for many years as the score keeper for the athletic department. He was an avid reader and loved geography. Rollie is survived by his wife Mina Jacobs; twin children Steven (Linda) Jacobs of Phoenix, AZ and Janelle (Randy) Siders of Urbandale, IA; and grandchildren Grant, Haley and Tate Siders. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Patricia Ann Hall.
Memorials:  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the W. H. Johnston Foundation of the Fort Dodge Public Library or First United Methodist Church.
