Anna C. Fallon, 74, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. A service honoring Anna’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Emily Sauer officiating. Visitation is 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Anna is survived by her husband Merlin “Max” Fallon; and her daughter Suzanne “Suzie” Fallon. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred & Leighton Hansen, Jeannette & Alvin Dencklau; and brother and sister-in-law, Hilmer ‘Sonny’ and Jan Hanson. Anna Clare Hanson, the daughter of Hilmer and Pauline (Smith) Hanson, was born September 13, 1947, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High and then from St. Anthony Nursing School in Carroll. On November 26, 1966, Anna was united in marriage to Merlin Fallon at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Anna was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Mercy Hospital, Friendship Haven and at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Anna served on the Iowa Board of Nursing for multiple terms under two governors. She was active with the League of Women Voters and was President of the Fine Arts Association. She enjoyed quilting, creating watercolor paintings and screen-printing projects. Anna also enjoyed sailing and rowing.
