Beverly Ann Duarte Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

sturdevantclifford6@gmail.com Beverly Ann Duarte, 88, of Fort Dodge, formerly from South Dakota, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Private graveside services will be in the Union Cemetery in Livermore, Iowa at a later date. Beverly Ann Martin, the daughter of Jess and Geneva (Fox) Martin, was born November 10, 1933, in Livermore, and graduated from Livermore High School in 1955. Beverly married Clifford Sturdevant and together they had four children before they divorced. Bev married Don Duarte and they lived in Arkansas, Arizona, and South Dakota. Beverly worked as an accountant in the local hospital and worked for several insurance companies. On November 11, 2018, her husband, Don passed away. Bev moved back to Iowa in 2021 to be closer to family. Bev loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed gardening, her flowers, watching birds, traveling, and hiking around the lakes of South Dakota. Later she enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Citizen Center and making quilts She is survived by her children, Debbie Virchow of Glenville, Minnesota, Patty (Joel) Weltha of Story City, Iowa, and Cliff Sturdevant Jr. (Brandy) of Fort Dodge; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; 2 sisters, Linda Kaufman of Gilmore City, Iowa and Mary Sorenson of Renwick, Iowa. Bev is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, daughter Kim Woodall, sisters Janet, Betty and Judy and a son-in-law Robert Virchow.
