    Zeta Marie Gadbury

    February 2, 1928 - June 20, 2021

    Zeta M. Gadbury, 93, of Fort Dodge, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Bickford Cottage, surrounded by her children. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Holy Trinity Church, with Monsignor Kevin McCoy Celebrating the Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Parish. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Zeta Marie Lang, the daughter of A.J. and Elizabeth (Grimes) Lang, was born February 2, 1928, on the family farm near Rockwell City. She attended Manson schools, graduated from Manson High School and attended Iowa State University. On April 8, 1948, Zeta was united in marriage to Richard Gadbury in Fort Dodge. Zeta worked at Gadbury Plumbing and was owner of Bath Unique Boutique for a number of years. During their retirement, they spent winters in Tucson, Ariz. Richard preceded Zeta in death in 2018. Zeta was actively involved with the Corpus Christi Parish. At the time of her death she was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Before her retirement she was a member of the BPOE Auxiliary. Throughout their marriage, Richard and Zeta enjoyed close friendships while traveling, dancing, golfing and card playing. Most of all she loved family. Zeta is survived by her children, Neil (Donette) Gadbury, Twin Lakes; Bryce (Donna) Gadbury, Algona; Renness (John) Lonning, Cambridge; Lizann (James) Nelson, Waukesha, Wis.; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and a brother Ron Lang. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, a great grandson Aiden Lonning and two siblings, Jack Lang and Donna Moe.
